Cafe de Beaumarchais | Sassafras

What an adorable little cafe nestled in amongst the beautiful scenery of Sassafras!

Shawn and I read the reviews on Urbanspoon, and being so highly rated, we had to make a pit-stop at Cafe de Beaumarchais on our way to William Ricketts Sanctuary (which is amazing, by the way!).

We weren’t overly hungry, so we ordered just one vegetarian baguette – pretty good value since it was only $8.50 and we were able to share it. Bread was a little on the chewy side, but overall pretty good. We asked for their 2 most popular macaroons – and were dished up a hazelnut one and a chocolate one, and to be completely honest – they were too sickly sweet for my liking. However, I can see these little light & airy morsels being a sweet tooth’s dream!

But at the end of the day, the star of the show was the coffee – we ordered 2 flat whites – and they were just lovely! Perfect amount of coffee, not too much milk, rich flavour – those alone made the pit stop well worth it! 🙂

The Two Bears are a fun-loving married couple of more years than we care to share, ha! Our travels allow Wifey Bear (a vegetarian) and Hubby bear (a carnivore) the opportunity to explore the mysteries of this amazing planet while trying out new & exciting food! #biglove
